RED-WINGED BLACKBIRD

We have been finding dead birds at Nanny's, but this is the first Red-Winged Blackbird we have found there. I found the rest of it but the wings and the head were not attached to the body. The red-winged one is the male.

FIVE BABY COONS

Yesterday we went out to the new house to do some work. I was up in the barn loft looking around. I moved a door that was up there and right behind it was a female coon. I yelled for Bryan and Andy to come and help me kill it. Bryan hit it with a shovel handle and it slipped down a hole. After Bryan and Andy had left I kept looking around I moved a piece of insulation and right in front of me were five baby coons.

"FORD" found on road dead

Isn't it cute?

Last Monday we were out taking our dog Buck for a walk around the park. While we were walking we found a coon beside the road. It had started raining so we stashed it in a brush pile. When we got back home mom was going out so I hitched a ride with her and went and picked up the coon. I'm hoping that I can get eight dollars for it. If anyone is wondering "WE" means, Sam, Andy, Abi, and I.

AN ORIOLE NEST

I found his nest at the new house. It was a branch that had fallen off a tree in the ice storm. My brother told me it was an oriole nest , I have seen a few more out there. We have collected bird's nests and eggs for years.

AN ADDITION TO MY COLLECTION

In a post I did before I put a picture of my skull collection. Recently my dad found me a cat skull at our new place in the country. My skull collection is growing.

MY SKULL COLLECTION

Once my dad, my brothers , and I were blood-trailing a deer and found a deer skull. And that was the beginning of my skull collection. A couple days ago we were out scouting and found a huge cow skull to add to my collection. It is the biggest one in the picture. The smallest one is a beaver and the other three are all deer. I used to have a bird skull. I think they are a neat thing to collect.
